You probably have some questions. After all, what other company is operating primarily as a buyer agency and has both US and European representation, helps provide education about picking good horses and has the experience to back it up.

We've tried to answer all your potential questions throughout the website, but just in case, we've organized this page for you. Please scroll down to learn more about Reesink Horses, USA, and please email us if you have any remaining questions or comments!
What horses do you have for sale?
You probably missed the part where we explained that we help dressage buyers find special horses. While we always have some select, top-quality horses in our inventory (which we're happy to show you if appropriate), we aren't primarily a sales barn like most others.
When you buy a home, you don't expect a realtor to sell you a house they own. They work for you to find homes that fit your specifications, and help you navigate the entire process. That's a good analogy of what we do.
If I buy a young horse, can I leave it in Europe?
We are often asked if a buyer can leave the horse in Europe after the purchase. The answer is always, "it depends," and almost always, "yes, at least for a period of time, depending on our capacity.
Often, it is medically necessary if the newly purchased stallion is gelded before importing. Sometimes a green broke horse does best by keeping it in the program that is working before sending him across the ocean.
And every situation is different. For example, Iron Spring Farm asked to keep their talented stallion, Lowlands in The Netherlands so Olympic rider and Reesink trainer/partner Dinja Van Liere could ride him.
A growing number of foal investors are also leaving their young horses overseas to be evaluated as 3-year-olds before importing them. Again, every situation is different and we will accommodate as we are able for our loyal clients.
Does Reesink Horses make any guarantees?
The world of buying horses has inherent risks associated with it. That's true if we buy a horse or if you do. Horses go lame, become injured, change in their behavior (especially in new circumstances like a new stable, new program, and new rider). One day a horse cribs for the first time; who is responsible? One day a horse becomes neurologic, when did it really start?
Our promise is that we will deal honestly with you and work to protect your interests. We want you to be pleased with your new horse and with the experience. That said, with horse people and with horse sales, sometimes things go sideways and parties won't always agree on whose fault it is or who needs to bear the financial burden of any loss.
In the unlikely event that happens, Reesink Horses guarantees that they will be there for you, ready to find a solution that is as fair to everyone as the situation will allow. Our reputation is extremely important to us and we've earned it by decades of honest deals.
